Biography:
Maged El-Setouhy is a professor of Public Health at Ain Shams University (Cairo – Egypt) and the previous Vice Chair of the REC of the Ain Shams School of Medicine. In addition he is the Scientific Director of the Substance Abuse Research Center (SARC) at Jazan University (Jazan – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). 2001 – 2011 He was the chair of the regional program reviewing group of the WHO-EMRO for the Regional program for Elimination of Lymphatic filariasis and a member of the Global Alliance team for the its Global program. Professor El-Setouhy has worked in man y scientific projects funded by the NIH since 1981. He was also able to get two Bell & Melinda Gates foundation projects. 2004 – 2008 -He was the Egyptian coordinator of the Research Ethics training program (HRETIE). He has many international publications and he is a reviewer of many Journals especially in the area of Substance Abuse and Research Ethics.
