Biography:

Walter Dalence was born in Oruro, Bolivia, he was educated in Caracas . “As a child I used to play with injection bottles, all my life I wanted to be a doctor”  recalls the cardiologist. Upon entering the University, his father sent him to Bolivia to train as a doctor. He studied in Bolivia at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón, the medical degree took him 7 years. Upon returning to Venezuela , he completed his revalidation at the Universidad de Oriente , during his postgraduate studies he obtained the best grade, along with two other doctors, through a medical statement issued by the Postgraduate Commission of the UCV .

Walter Dalence was a postgraduate professor in Cardiac Rehabilitation at the Dr. Miguel Pérez Carreño Hospital for 21 years , and was Head of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit at the Dr. Alejandro Rhode National Rehabilitation Center in Caracas, Venezuela . He has also authored and co-authored more than 50 research papers for the benefit of improving the quality of life in cardiovascular patients. Dalence has been internationally recognized for his medical research work, he was awarded the Prize to the Medical Investigation by Achievement for a Better Life , the highest international recognition awarded by theInternational Organization for Medical Training and Research, IOCIM, in Lima, Peru.
