Professor Dorrik Stow FRSE is an internationally renowned with 50 years of experience in present, ancient, and subsurface sediments, Professor Dorrik Stow FRSE is a highly esteemed geoscience and oceanography expert who has published more than 300 scientific papers as well as numerous books and edited volumes. He has worked in more than 50 nations around the world and led scientific excursions to all of the world's main oceans. He is a Distinguished Professor at China University of Geoscience in Wuhan, China, Visiting JSPS Fellow at Gakugei University in Tokyo, Japan, and Leverhulme Emeritus Fellow at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Professor Stow is a passionate lecturer and speaker on topics ranging from the Lost Tethys Ocean to deep-sea turbidites.
