Title: Latrogenic Risks in the Internet of Healthcare Systems: A Research Frontier
Abstract:
With the Internet, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain and 5G communications and other next-generation information technology empowering healthcare, the new concept of the Internet of Healthcare Systems (IHS) is increasingly becoming the consensus. While IHS greatly empowers medical and health services, it also brings new iatrogenic risks which need to be paid great attention to and studied as soon as possible. This paper first defines the important concept of IHS, then analyzes the active and potential iatrogenic risks in IHS environment. By sorting out the theoretical development of how values and ethics embedded in technological innovation, some scientific issues to be studied in the prevention of iatrogenic risks in IHS environment are highlighted.
Biography:
Jiayin QI is a professor at Institute of AI and Change Management, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Shanghai, China. She is also the Dean of SUIBE Research Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Change Management, and the director of Key Lab “Data Science and Decision Making”, SUIBE. She has published over 100 papers in reputed journals. Her research interests are frontier technology and management innovation, big data modeling, digital transformation and change management etc.
