Symposium Proposal Submission

Instructions

Symposium proposals must be submitted via the congress website. E-mailed proposals will not be considered.

Accepted symposia are part of the scientific program and are not permitted to contain commercial promotional content.

Format of submission

  • Symposium title: No more than 150 characters.
  • A synopsis of the symposium (max. 1,500 characters). Please clearly state the purpose of the symposium and include a brief description of current state-of-the-art, if applicable, gaps/deficiencies in the field, and why this symposium is timely and relevant.

  • The proposer of proposal (full name, title, and affiliation). Before submitting the proposal, the proposer should ensure that all proposed chairs and speakers have agreed to present in the order suggested if the symposium is accepted.
  • Chair(s) (full name, title, and affiliation).
  • Public Speakers (full name, title, and affiliation of presenters, and tentative title of presentations). The standard format consists of four 15-minute presentations followed by a separate or combined Q&A session (s).
  • Each symposium is allotted 90 minutes. It is possible to submit multiple symposium proposals for the same topic.

Any congress participant may propose symposia, but there is a limit to the number of symposia that can be accommodated. The Scientific Committee will choose symposia based on their scientific excellence, timeliness, and diversity of speakers (wide representation of geographical areas, gender balance, and so on), as well as their relevance for congress participants. As a result, submission does not guarantee acceptance.

The chosen symposia will be included in the scientific programme. The Congress Organizers provide rooms with technical setup for the symposia. The Congress Organizers do not cover any registration, travel, or lodging costs for symposium Chairs or speakers. All Chairs and speakers in a symposium must be registered congress participants.
