Workshop

Workshop is basically an interactive session (meeting) at which a group of people engage in intensive discussion and activity (with improvisation) on a particular subject or project.

Global Scientific Forum organizes several workshops for the participants within conferences & seminars, and even prior to some conferences too. Workshops aim to increase the capacity and knowledge of delegates around the latest scientific research, focusing on transferring knowledge through intensive interaction with the audience. Workshops engage participants in deeper discussion and learning about a specific topic relevant to their research activities. GSF welcomes workshop proposals, it can be 60 or 90-minutes in length.

At Global Scientific Forum, we provide well equipped room/hall for every workshop with one podium and one screen and projector (two screens and projectors will be equipped for bilingual presentations), powered wireless internet facility. Microphones are also well equipped where required. Facilitators must provide their own laptop, and they are responsible for bringing workshop materials and the electronic copy of their presentation to their workshop. On-site printing is advised to do at the venue’s business center.

Workshop Types

  • Regular workshop: Around 1 hour sessions with 5-7 presentations with comprehensive audience interaction. Such workshop generally happen prior, post or even within a conference.
  • Skills development: 60 or 90-minute sessions, specifically designed for skill & knowledge development for conference delegates in a collaborative environment.

Guidelines for workshop submitters

  • All proposals for workshops should be submitted through the abstract submission page.
  • All proposals (with abstracts) must be submitted in English.
  • Please mention the name of the organizer of the workshop.
  • Indicate the chairperson(s) for the workshop, with the full first name, affiliation, country and email address.
  • Abstract with more than one author, must contain the entire list of all authors (including the presenting author).

Proposal Preparation (Our Suggestions)

Workshop proposals should be structured as follows:

  • Objectives: Clear explanation (approx. 250-300 characters) of the reasons for the workshop and objectives – real value, relation with the topic, format etc.
  • Major summary: Summary (not more than 200 characters) and main impact of the proposed workshop.
  • Panelists: While submitting the workshop proposals, you must add panelists entering name, institution, and email address for each.

Proposal Review & Acceptance

All submitted proposals will be peer-reviewed by the Judges Panel at Global Scientific Forum. Each proposal will be reviewed by 3 to 4 reviewers and scored on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Does the proposal follow the guidelines?
  • Is the subject matter exactly appropriate for the Conference?
  • Are the objectives clearly explained?
  • Can the objectives be achieved in the 60 or 90 minutes allotted for this workshop?
  • Is the information enough innovative?
  • Is the overall quality of the proposal sufficient?
  • Is there an audience interactive element in the workshop?

Promotion

Global Scientific Forum will promote accepted workshops via its website and social media channels. This will help to increase the visibility of each workshop.
